When I started this endeavor to offer functional art, I invested in some sublimation materials. These lightweight wood teardrop earrings, unassembled, were some of those items.
In order to make these earrings, I had to, first, draw the original artwork. Then, I had to use my sublimation printer, and some purchased Etsy templates, to print the image in small teardrop sizes.
These are double sided. That means a whole lot of scissor work cutting out each tiny print. And these earrings have a thin layer that has to be removed from both sides before the images can then be heat pressed on to them.
Unless you happen upon these in a local boutique, you absolutely can’t get them anywhere but right here, and I’m not sure I’ll be making more.
If your heart is on fire for the King, these are a great conversational piece.
